After a year on doom and gloom it is nice to be able to report some positive news – such as the opening of a brand new twin cinema in the Victorian country town of Cobram.
The Murray River tourist town has been without a cinema since the Melba Theatre was destroyed by fire some years ago.
Step in Cobram Youth Group (CYG) who forged a unique partnership with the local Masonic Lodge to create a new modern twin cinema located within the walls of the old lodge building – with a new foyer and street entrance.
The grand opening was held on Thursday 4th February, with a preview nights for project workers held the day prior.
